Many clients struggle with the belief that their circumstances dictate their emotions and behaviors! This external locus of control can hinder progress... While external factors can influence your life, it’s important to recognize that you have the power to choose how you respond to those challenges... This shift in perspective is vital for personal empowerment.

One of the biggest challenges we face with clients is their belief that their situation is the cause of their feelings and actions! This atttitude of looking for externalities for achieving outsized progress only leads to demotivation. While external forces can shape your life, know that you ultimately control how you respond to these challenges. It's this change in perspective that is essential for taking personal responsibility.

Once you accept the notion of an internal locus of control, you realize that life will undoubtedly present you with curveballs but you have the power to determine how those situations will ultimately affect you. This does not mean ignoring the tangible impacts of outside events but rather remembering the power and agency you possess within. When you focus inward, you create space for intentional response rather than habitual reaction based on past patterns
